Safe Shelter

The Safe Shelter program provides specialized services to Thurston County youth who have run away from home, are homeless, or are in conflict with their families. The program offers temporary housing, crisis intervention, family mediation and reconciliation services, counseling, case management, and referrals. Youth entering the program must do so 100% voluntarily.

To access the Safe Shelter Program, youth may call on their own, or teachers, school counselors, family members, or care providers can also make contact. The Safe Shelter line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For case consultations and referrals, please contact Rob Damron, Safe Shelter case manager, at (360) 943-7861 (943-RUN1). Or, call toll-free at (888) 698-1825. You may also contact Haven House at (360) 754-1151 or (888) 698-1816.
